Monogramouflage from Louis Vuitton
I visited the Louis Vuitton Boutique today to check out the new styles and see what fans think of the current LV collection. Marc Jacobs and Takashi Murakami recent collaboration for Louis Vuitton is the new Monogramouflage line. It is essentially a military chic look. Nothing unique, and something you would expect to see at American Eagle or A & F stores than at Louis Vuitton boutiques. Can you believe a suggested retail price of $1770 for the Jasmine shown above?. The Jasmine is canvas, lined with cotton and has some leather trimmings. Very few leather trimmings, as the handles are in jute canvas. I will stick with the Watercolor collection for the summer! While many critics seem to love the line, I think these same critics and fashionistas would rave over anything that comes from the house of Louis Vuitton. I am sorry, i can not follow suit. This ultra casual look, is overpriced and contrary to the classic styling you ordinarily see from LV. Even the LV denim line seemed to have more class. Their latest design is neither unique, nor hip but since it has LV’s stamped all over it I am sure some LV fans will clamor to find their own Monogramouflage bag . For most classic LV styles, be sure to visit www.yourbestboutique.com .
